S-70 Throttle body

I have a defective throttle body on my non turbo S-70. Need information
on installation. Volvo tells me that their new $560.00 unit needs a CD download. Does my used/replacement throttle body need the download or will it actually run when I install it? HELP!

At anytime you change an electronic throttle module on a Volvo, you need to install a "reload" software into the car. That can only be done at the dealer or very few independent shops. We have the capability to do that at my shop.
