Hi every one ,Just logged in for the first time,Can anyone help,I have just finally got hold of my V40 arfter wanting one for years.My 440 gear box went so i had to go shopping,My problem is this,There seems to be some knocks from the front suspension area.Over sleeping police its fine and ruff grounds all sounds pretty good,But on a normal type of road surface this noise can just start up,It's like at knock which sound quite hard which really makes my stomach turn,as im afraid it's something major.I had the car service as soon as i got and asked the guy (who i know rather well) to look at the suspension as i read it can fail as the ride is a little crude,He said the car was really good and there was nothing wrong.Is it a normal sound from these cars?as i'm in ywo minds weather to cut my loses.
