I was looking at the dataplate on my 96 850 GLT Wagon and it says that my car was made in Belgium. Does that make sense? Are all 850's made in Belgium?

Yes I know what the numbers all mean, I just wanted to know if most of the US cars were from Belgium or what was made where. For instance there is a number for a Canadian factory which you would think would build cars from the US but apparently not all of them.

In the 70's Volvo had an assembly plant in Nova Scotia but I believe it closed.

I have only seen one 850 that did not have the "Made in Belgium" mark. It was a '97 850 sedan non-turbo and was marked, "Made in Sweden".
