Do i need a resonator on a 760? Topic is solved

I'll be replacing my muffles pipes and cat converter this winter and am wondering if a resonator is needed. What exactly does it do? Also is there any recommneded mufflers/pipes to give the car a deeper sound?

Without the Resonator, the car will backfire on every shift and may be a little bit more loud, but other than that, mone has run fine for years with out the resonator. Hope this helps.
