It only affects cold weather warmups but it could also be exacerbated with the heater pulling engine away while it's warming up. For your car to warm up to operating temperature after 3 minutes in the snow tells me something is wrong with my car.
When it's 97 degrees (F) out it has NO trouble warming up and does not overheat. When it's cold it can take 10-15 minutes to finally get to the 3:00 position.

Temperature here for the past week has been -15C (5F) to -25C (-13F) wind chill has made it feel like -37 (-34.6F)... and yes.. the new thermostat has kept me comfy warm in the car
When I get going in the morning, the car gets to warm up for a couple of moments.... maybe 2 minutes till I get it moving. Once moving, then temp climbs right on up in no time

1998 V70XC AWD Turbo
36 degrees F which for you would be about 2 degrees C. Today it's 55F (12.7C) and while I haven't gotten in the car yet, it will likely take me about 10 minutes of stop and go driving to go the first 3 miles where the temperature doesn't get up to 3:00 on the dial.
I cleaned my MAF last night but it did not appear to be dirty so presumably that didn't affect anything. We'll see what happens on the way in. I don't think I have any vacuum leaks but I don't own a gauge - I should buy one, they're cheap enough. The idle doesn't change when I remove the oil cap so that suggests a leak somewhere - maybe at the filler cap itself? Will have to look into that later tonight.
