rough idel

My 94 940 is having some idel issues. It starts and runs fine. But it idels rough. Its getting good miliage and has 200k on the clock. Any help would be appreated. Thanks

get a bottle of fuel injector cleaner, follow directions. I am trying to remember what brand I use. If that doesn't quickly solve the problem you may have a vacuum leak somewhere. If it idles rough just when you first start then it can be the orings around the injectors. Replacing these made a world of difference on my wifes car changing them on mine made no difference at all.

Check the accordian looking hose that connects the air mass sensor to the throttle body. Sometimes these rub against the inner fender and get a hole in them letting unmetered air into the engine. You can do a temp fix with black electrical tape until you can get a replacement if you find a hole
