After years of driving 740tic i just moved to 1994 850 GLE which is 6 Volvo in my family (3rd mine) and a first 850. I bought the car about 3 weeks ago, without the remote, it is a non turbo, 5spd. I got the remote from ebay but the car won't go into programming mode. I followed the procedure switched it on and off 5 times, and leaving it on (engine off) but the LED won't go on. Yet when I lock the car the alarm LED blinks red. Is it possible to have alarm package without the keyless entery? Otherwise the car drives well, but being FWD it's not as much fun to drive as my old RWD 740tic... :(
