turnsignal bulb outage

2001 V70 XC I just took the car 1400 miles round trip and on three or four occasions I turned on my right turn blinker (changing lanes, turning, etc) and a message popped up telling me I had a bad turn light. Most times it would auto correct after a couple more uses. Then today I was in a parking lot and received the same message. I did a walk around and all three lights front, side, and rear were blinking. Has anyone had this happen before? Where should I start sockets, grounds, etc.?

I'd check the bulbs, check the sockets for corrosion and check to be sure the bulbs are seated properly, then go from there. I've never owned a Volvo of any kind that didn't have quirky issues with light bulbs.

Anyone know where you can get the bulb sockets without buying the whole headlight assembly? The RF blinker socket got really mangled somehow. New headlight runs ~250 bux.

I got a socket from the dealer with bulb for $14 and it fixed my bulb out issue.

Hitting the lens with the heel of your hand only works a couple of times.

It is the socket and jetmechgac's solution works. Best $14 I ever spent on my 2001 v70.
