We have a chip working in a S/V70 model now, :) just working out the kinks to make sure its a quaility product :) Hopefully will be done soon. Actually we need another "Beta" tester for the chip if you, or anyone else would be interested just PM me for details :)

If I didn't rely on my car so much for long distance drives all the time, I'd definitely be in. Do you need to break open the ECU to install? It all looks promising though, keep up the good work!

How exactly do these chips work? I'm guessing like any chip, it will stress the engine/trans a little more. Probably a little less gas mileage too?

Yep... you have to take the cover off the ecu, un-solder the stock chip and solder in our chip and socket, can all be done in less than an hour if you can solder :)

As far as stress its like anything else, its how you drive the car makes a huge difference. Chip or no chip, a person can put stress on a car. My R that has the chip in it, has 216k miles, and purrrs like a kitten. Im not out doing 1/4 mile hole shots everyday either. Its nice to have the extra kick when i need it. Actually with the chip you get better fuel mileage.

Hi phils94850 Great work in bringing a performance chip to the market, especially something for the n/a models.
The turbo results are nothing short of fantastic!!

I'm assuming that the n/a chip has only been tested on and only suits the B5254S and not the 10 valve or other market's 20 valve engine sizes (there are so many variations in the owner's handbook it is mindboggling: 5204Ts, 5204Ss, 5252Ss, 5202Ss & 5204Ss)

Not saying that all people in the U.S.A live in a bubble :) but just to consider that Mathews Volvo site has memberships from all over the world with just about every engine configuration, so it would be a good idea to state the engine models that your chips have been tested on on your website.

Now that I can see the results I am rather envious of what can be achieved with a 5234T or T5 :o

My own 95 model 5252S (I have two of them) with only 144hp would be more than doubled if I bought a turbo!!

I'm surprised you think this going to end well

most people can't even change their own VAC lines let alone break open an ECU, R&R a chip.

I didn't read your site because i couldn't get past this. If you offer an option to have people mail you their ECU's, and have you do this under a VAC conditions, i'd stick with that.

otherwise, best of luck, we need some good quality tunes out there.

Look into a tune for Manual swap people and a SAS delete tune.

Fly.. if you would've read more I do offer the service of installing the chip for you. :) I also have a tune for the manual swap guys .
As I stated on my site its very inexpensive to have someone do the work for you at a computer or electronics shop. If they charge alot then there ripping you off. As I stated above I can install it also. If I do the install it costs 250.00 which is A LOT cheaper than anyone else. This is a win win for everybody.

Precop....Actually I think I can get tunes for the euro cars also :) ill check on it and let you know :). I apologize for being narrowminded.

awesome, like i said, i didn't go to the site i just read the R&R your own chip and had to start typing. haha

you really need to hit VS and talk about having a manual swap tune. I'm a Global Mod over there and people are clamering for a good manual swap tune.

also a SAS delete tune would be big.

I'd contact chuck the owner about posting and maybe becoming a vendor or work out a deal with him.

once you get all the bugs out of the GEN 1 R tune, lets talk, i own the V70R and S60R.com sites.
