I wanted to post one more picture so I don't feel like reds70turbo and I are highjacking this thread

Thankfully, I'm not ready to get hammered with snow yet.
You better get that Volvo snow-ready!

That's an incredible looking car!! Where did you get that skirt for the front bumper? Is that factory? same with the eyelids on the headlights. I have the red v70r pictured a few posts above or below you. In the spring I want to update the nose a little with some paint, jewel headlights, a nicer grille, and that skirt would look awesome. Can you feed me some info? Thanks

Kewrock, here's a couple leads on jewel headlights: https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/tag/jewel-headlights/

The second one also talks about egg crate grilles, which, IMHO, look downright fantastic.

Here's the 1986 244 DL I just bought. It runs great and doesn't feel like it has 160K on it. I'm about to drive it from Iowa to south Texas tomorrow, hoping that famous Volvo reliability will be with me all the way!

I had a '68 144 that I bought new and drove for about 18 years, named Valerie. I think I'll call this one Valorious.

Gotta love the ever-classy 240s. And paint looks amazing! Put some original hubcaps on there and you're set!

Have fun on your 240 roadtrip. I take one to the beach every summer, you can't beat the feeling.

OK....
so its finally time I can post about my new volvo.

as some of you who frequent the other volvo forums may or may not know...
I recently wrecked my 850. :( insurance totaled it out since it was a volvo and to expensive to repair by them.
Those of you on Volvospeed will know me currently as, Doctor Octagonapuss. <--- dont ask.

Here are some photos of my 1996 854 glt.
followed by the the new, 1998 s70 T5.

now for the s70 after quite a few mods. mostly costmetic.
Ipd springs I believe are the biggest modifications untill next week when the FMIC kit goes in as well as a few other performance mods.
end result will be a 19t + upsolute custom tune by March. :D

This is the car when I first got it.
exterior problems, dent on driver fender, and had some rust spots on the hood that I have sense fixed.
interior is mint. :D

850 is still here and will be getting the n/a cams yanked out before it goes to the jy. :D

I will post again about the car in march with all the modifications, and dyno / track times.
