Plastic Piece - Interior Driver's Side Windshield
What the heck is this thing, and what is it used for? It appears to be attached to the driver's side a pillar, and I am tempted to remove mine. It is annoying, but before removing it, I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on some mystical Volvo functionality

Thanks guys, I figured it might be for something along those lines. Here in Texas, the State requires every vehicle to have a registration sticker and an inspection sticker. Typically these are placed in the lower left hand corner of the windshield. With this plastic piece, it is right in the way. I called my registration office, and got a bit of good news, we are allowed to place our two stickers in a horizontal position. By doing so, the plastic piece is not interfering with my two State sanctioned stickers
I spoke to my neighbor, who owns a 2010 C70, and he has the same thing on his car. He also said that during his purchase, he noticed that the dealer put papers in the clip as it was sent to the service department.
Thanks again, it is nice to know what it is used for.
