2005 S60 rattling noice
My S60 makes an odd rattling sound when I accelerate to about 1500-3000 RPM's but after I hit around 3000 the sounds stops. I'm not sure what made the noice start happening but I was wondering and if anyone has any ideas about what it could be, if so, thanks

can you narrow down the source area? front, back, left, right.
At that engine speed regardless of road speed?
With engine not running kick the exhaust tip that sticks out behind car and see if the rattle can be simulated in case it is exhaust sourced.

It seems to come from the front but I can't really tell. And it only happens when the car is in motion but happens regardless of speed. It doesn't do it in neutral. And I will try that.

There are some heat shields on and around exhaust that should be checked.
IS the noise always RPM dependent with no regard for road speed? Will it make the noise in park if you increase engine speed to the speed range?
There is no characteristic problem I am aware of that makes noise on your car.
If the noise occurs with engine running sitting still then you may be able to use something to touch parts and see if there is something that when touched, stops the rattle.
DO not do anything around the moving belt on passenger side end of engine.
