contact strip in etm

99 v70 base 5sp
I have a friend who's an Mechanical/electrical serviceman, who told me that only a few companies make these sensors and that with the specs should be able to get a match( approx 30$) I know about the rebuilds, but has anyone tried this before. I searched but found nothing posted. What about getting the tech specs for this item?

And yes your friend is right about $30 per end. Getting the end caps off is tough and I can give you advise if you decide to go this route.

And you can even get a non contact magnetic strip.
