volvo V90 1998 radio works but there is no sound.

yeah.. like i siad the radio works but there is no sound.
there are ten speakers in the car and i know for a fact they are not blown out.
I took the radio out and found the amp input has nothing connected to it.
nor could i find the wires for it.

If there has been no sound the whole time you've owned the car then maybe someone removed the amp to install an aftermarket radio and then put the stock radio back in before selling the car. The amp jack on the stock radio is the output that goes to the amp, not from the amp. The speaker wires are usually connected to the amp. On my 88 760 the dash speakers connected to the radio and the door speakers connected to the amp. That was considered an 8-speaker system. Your 960 may also have rear deck speakers.
