DTC readout

Post by igel513 »

DTC Readout on my 03 S60 (5234 T3) w/ 86K miles is as follows

0x07A - ECM Bosch ME7
0x5200 - RPM Sensor
0x641A - Exhaust camshaft control

Car drives fine when warmed up but w/ a liitle hesitation on acceleration.
Could this be a faulty camshaft sensor? Thanks for your help.

You need to get yourself a good OBD II code reader. Erase the codes, and see which one comes back. Then replace the bad part accordingly.

Most likely one bad sensor is giving you several codes, so don't guess.

I used a BSR-PPC diagnostic tool and those were the codes that were shown
on BSRs website. I emailed BSR requesting a
manual for the PPC tool but haven't gotten one yet. Is there a better OBD II
code reader besides those owned by the dealers? Al from Swedespeed has a
VIDA 2010A and his manual doesn't show those codes. I'll do more research
to solve my prob. on this car. Bringing the car to a dealer is not an option for me
at this time.Volvo electronics - AARRRRGGGHH. A Swedespeed
member has this written out in all his post and I quote "VOLVO FOR LIFE MY ASS"
That guy is one very unhappy camper.
