2002 S40 spark plugs Topic is solved

I have an '02 S40 1.9 turbo. The manual calls for spark plugs to be changed at 45k. Does anyone know what the OEM plugs are (mfg., part #), so I don't have to go through the dealer? Also, I just had a mechanic look at them, and he said they're platinum. Why would Volvo call for platinums to be changed at 45k (other than to make $)?

Go to a spark plug site like NGK, Champion etc. and enter your car. They will tell you the plugs for your car.

I did do that, but then wondered if they needed to be the same plugs that came on the car originally. Thanks for your help.

I changed mine with Bosch Platinum and it runs great!
