S40 2006 Ignition Switch Part Number

Post by plutonian7 »

Hi,

I need some help to determine my car Ignition Switch part number, this is a S40 T5 06' with 24k, and a very bad electric problem.
After a "Key Error" message the car stop to start, and to make everything worse, don't turn off completely, even without key everything is on, cluster, radio, lights, etc. After many, many hours in volvo's forums seem like the problem is related to the ignition switch, AKA SCU or Starter Control module.

I ordered the module, but the problem persisted, and code CEM-1A41 persist. My doubt now if I received the right part and different volvo sites give me different part numbers. Now I'm confused.

And to make it even more complicated my actual ignition PN is 30768035.

Can someone please bring some light?

Problem solved, after many hours I found the culprit of the communication problem DTC CEM-1A41. I found water "just few drops" and a minor corrosion in the top right connector of the CEM. I dissembled the CEM clean up the contacts and the problem disappears, I didn't found the source of the water so I added lithium grease in all the top connectors.
