There is no power getting to my switches for heated seats, folding door mirrors, STC, windscreen demisters / heater, air con or gear selectio indicator. I have checked my fuses and they all seem to be fine.
Could this be a problem with a relay switch and if so, how do I locate the problem and fix it?

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.
Which engine is fitted and what is the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)? The '99 UK spec can be fitted with one of two main fuse boxes depending on the VIN.
Bill.

Sorry, I should have told you I only needed the last digits of the VIN. I have edited your post for security.
My first car had no fuses, my second had 3. On modern cars if you took the fuses out you would greatly reduce the weight of the car.
Looking at the diagrams I have it would appear that some of the fuses in the engine compartment fuse/relay box supply some of the fuses in the fascia fuse/relay boxes. Have you checked all of the fuses or only those that are labelled for the items that aren't working? For example fuse 3 in the engine fuse box supplies fuses 3 - 6 and 16 - 19 in the fascia 1 fuse box. These fuses in turn supply the power for the ignition main circuits relay and the ignition auxiliary circuits relay 2. These circuits will be supplying power to most of the items that are missing as they are ignition controlled. Have you checked the fuses in the engine compartment?
If you wish I can post the full fuse listings that I have for your car. You may as well be as confused as me.

Those switches all work through the climate control module. The A/C and heater not working are the issues to start with. First things to do is to check climate control module fuse. If no problem there then it is a more involved problem
The switches do not directly do anything. They provide a coded signal to CCM and CCM puts requests on network and the affected module responds and activates things. You can remove the face panel around those switches and move them wherever you want and put the plugs in the unused places and the switches still control what they control with no adjustments whatsoever. If the functions do not work then the problem diagnosis starts with the climate control module.
The bad news is that diagnosis requires use of a computer tool that display fault codes and info from the modules.

Thanks for your help and advice, I have now checked the fuses and relays and it looks as if the problem is that there is no power getting to the central consel which holds the air con, heated seat, folding mirror and demister switches. I think it may be a broken wire, faulty sensor or a multiplug has come loose.
If you have any further tips then I will be very grateful.
