Yikes....I love this car but am beginning to ask myself why. Just spent $700 on tires and rims to correct a vibration problem to find out today my front springs are "broke" as is one of the two rear. In addition, a motor mount is broken. And, the rear tire with the remaining good spring is "turned in" - the mechanic is unsure how to correct the problem. I still have a pull to the left after correcting the bent rims and the mechanic could not guarantee the pull will be resolved by the repair to the springs & mount. I am at a point of asking am I throwing good money after bad? The quote for the spring & mount repairs is almost $1100.
This is a 200 Volvo V40 with 120,000 miles. The body is rust free and solid with some loose plastic trim but otherwise looks great. Excellent interior (after dropping $200 on bulb replacement). I didn't think being a mechanic was a necessity for being a Volvo owner....again, I love the car but are there hidden dangers after dropping this much more into it?
Sucking more $$$
