hi folks.... I am in the process of opening a new VOLVO shop in EUGENE, Oregon.
I am trying to be as current as possibly as far as diagnostics, but will not be using DICE or VIDA.
so...... I bought a VCT2000 and a VADIS disc. installed the disc ( vadis 2005 edition A, from the vadis guy ). i set it up using the system admin user name and password and can get into it just fine. but the button you hit ( vehicle communication ), is greyed out, I cant even select it. My VCT 2000 is hooked up to the vehicle and my laptop and when I go to vehicle selection I can hit read vehicle and i comes up with the vin and all that good stuff. but no vehicle communication, its like I'm missing that part of the program. any ideas.
VADIS no vehicle communication

START/Programs/VADIS Administrative Tools/VADIS Configurator check mark in "vehicle communications"
You probably want to uncheck software purchasing since you can't do that with VADIS.
