2001 S80 Rough idle after engine warms up
2001 S80 Rough idle after engine warms up
2001 S80 T6 turbo with 65k miles. After engine comes up to operating temp, the idle goes from smooth to rough. When you go to accelerate, you usually feel one or two bumps from the engine. Just had new plugs replaced. Just had lower half engine reworked to eliminate oil leak on case. Also check engine light is on with no codes from three scanners. Engine runs well otherwise, but my 06 t5 could run circles around this T6. Is this an ETM or ECM problem?

Was the timing belt off for any of the work? Plugs gapped to .28'? I have experienced what you are seeing when the cam timing was slightly off or more specifically when the . Rough idle when warm, but smooth otherwise. That said, it threw a p0014 code for the VVT solenoid. Im surprised you have no codes at all.
I wouldnt worry about ETM or ECM yet....

Yes the belt was replaced when lower oil leak was repaired. Also new plugs were installed, unfortunately "Autolite", but should be gapped properly. Did check engine extensively over the weekend and found oil in the electrical connector past the MAF sensor. Cleaned that and the CEL went out. (Did disconnect the battery).
