Price when new

Post by hammertime »

Does anyone know of a source that shows what the sticker price was when our cars were brand new? I always buy used cars, in the case of my volvos, 12-13 years old. For no other reason than curiosity, I'm wondering what they cost when they were fresh off the dealer lot.

yes, use google.

Really though I think KBB or car review websites usually say what they were new. I wanna say I found out my GLT was like 36,000 new, which is insanity to me for 96.

I just bought a 2000 c70 hpt, when I went to register it, the msrp was listed @ $56,000(can.) They also listed the value of it @ $7500, I paid $5000 and the thing is immaculate. So I am more than happy with the value.

States are also adjusting their tax schedules according to published values rather than the actual sale price.
More for them.

I would like to see how much my 85 Volvo 240DL was new. I only paid 500 bucks for it so I know I did ok.

My old main paid $17,500 for a 1985 240GL, and had to pay $300 more for a crappy analog two-dial radio.

My 93 850 GLT which was NA was right around $33k
I think Wiki states MSRP's MSN auto does as well.
