Hey guys i drive an 03 s60 2.4t..im going to get my pcv system replaced tomorrow..apparently my front cam seals are blown out because it was sooo bad. Question i have is was this due to lack of reg., oil changes, or is this just a maint. issue?? i bought the car with 104k, and it now has 109k....timing belt was done at 99k..
are there any other ways to check for sludge or to know if the oil was changed frequently apart form the oil cap?? there isn't any sludge underneath there...
Thanks in advance.

The PCV is a normal maintenance issue - if not dealt with once it begins to clog, it begins venting pressure elsewhere like out of your oil cap and engine seals.
Many of us recommend using or switching to a synthetic oil since it will clog up the PCV system less.
