ok, in one of my previous topics, i wrote about my oil and water mixing. well, i didnt want to go through the trouble of doing the heads on a motor with 130,000 miles on it. insteady, i found a motor with 58000 with a warrantee. i just picked up the motor and about ready to pull the old one out and install the one i just bought, is there anything special i need to know about pulling the motor and replacing it?
as a background, i have replaced many motors and as i mentioned, plenty of chevy motors. i also did a saab and a jetta so i am comfortable with doing this. i just need to know if there are any obstacles that i might encounter.
oh, can i do this by pulling the motor up out of the engine bay?
plus motor mount torque specs and any other import torques that i might need to know.
thanks a bunch.

Which Volvo...which engine. Make sure they are both the same, of course. If you will let me know more specific information I mayb be able to help you. You really need to know quite a bit before pulling the engine. There are wires and hoses everywhere, not to mention the transmission coming apart and back together with the engine...has to line up correctly and can be tricky. What do you plan to do with the old engine? Email me and I'll see if I can send you some diagrams too badger36-at-knology.net
