what temp sensor should I have? Topic is solved

Posted this on other forums but figured I'd ask here too. Car is an 89 740 Turbo wagon which I recently bought used. Getting 14mpg and I'm replacing the temp sensor that feeds the ECU. Parts sources indicate both a blue and black one for that year and model. Most brick guys say I have an LH2.2 and it takes the blue one. I removed mine and its black. A Volvo tech says it should be blue and thats why I'm getting such poor mileage because they are not interchangeable though they fit perfectly. I bought the car use and it could have been replaced with the wrong one at some time but I have no idea. Anyone know for sure what belongs there or a way I could determine which one.? TIA

go to the parts department with your vin # in hand and they should be able to tell you what the proper part is.
