PCV service 02xc
getting ready to buy the parts for the service. IPD has the kit for $246 (oe), FCP has a kit for $99 (oe). The IPD kit has an extra "hose", longer 2 heads at one end. Can anyone tell me what this hose is and is it needed?

Sometimes you can clean the ends but if it's really clogged, it's clogged in the middle of that hose and can't be cleaned!
Personally from what everyone has said lately, stay away from ALL aftermarket kits including IPD's.
Apparently there are a couple of inferior hoses in the kit and have failed very prematurely.
You do not want to do this twice, buy VOLVO partsGo to tascaparts.com and buy from them, they're the cheapest in the country right now for OEM

I second that! It's really not something you want to do again; my URO hose is a real annoyance.
