complete cutout Topic is solved

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

complete cutout

Post by jeffinwash. »

I have a 2001 S80 Volvo that I purchased two years ago.I really love the car and all it's safety features and gagets. How ever a prblem arose Thanksgiving morning when I went out to warm it up.It only cranked over the first time I tried to start it,but fired up the second time.I turned my seat heater on and switched CD's in the stereo and in just that little time all the electical components went out in the car and then the car shut completly off. I was unable to start the car again.Nothing happened when I turned the key except some cliking noise and the fuelinjection pump running. The radio and the interior lights were the only thing that would work and only if you turned them on manually.Keyless entry wont even work.No dash lights no horn no turn signals no nothing.Checked all fuses,ok.Battery seems to be fine. The next day I tried starting it,it would only crank alittle and things started to work again but because of the holidays I was unable to fool withit much.Left it alone. The next day tried to start it nothing again. The only message that comes up when the thing is working is " SRS Airbag Service Urgent".Is there some type of reset switch in the car anywhere to override this particular problem or avoid going to the dealership which was no help over the phone?I sure could use some advice here if anyone has had the same problem.Thank for what-ever you can give me.Jeff
