i currently own a volvo 850 turbo and maybe upgrading to a newer vehicle. my questions is i am looking at the "new" body style from 2007 and up and was wondering is there a big difference between the t6 and v8 in performance and reliablility? Also is there a consensus the reliablity of this body style over past years?

The T6 and V8 S80's are very nice cars. I have put a few thousand miles on one of each. The T6 is more refined and got better MPG. The V8 had a little more go and had more racy sounds when pushed but was not too noisy when driven nice.
The V8 had a greater surge of power but the T6 is a very fast car and not much off the pace of the V8.
