coolant level sensor
coolant level sensor
Has anyone tried to bypass the sensor just to turn the light off? I just don't want to by a new sensor/overflow tank.

You could just pull the indicator light.
Personally, I'd get it fixed. I'd like to know if I was cruising on the freeway and I suddenly lost all my coolant...

I have fixed mine (on one of them) by just giving the overflow tank a good sharp whack with my palm to dislodge the stuck sensor free.
So far so good in my case.

thanks for the replys. I've smacked it a few times, but it is now always on. I'll look into replacing it soon - but for now I hate seeing that light. I always check the coolant level when I check the oil, about every other tank of gas.
