Heated Mirrors

Post by gherman »

My passenger heated mirror works on my 2000 s40, but the driver's side (L) does not. Fuse, wire, or element?

That's what you need to check.
First check the fuses, because it's the yeasier thing to do.
Next check whether there comes power to the mirror plug.
3-td check with multimeter wether the heater is ok.

In most cases the plug of the mirror is disconnected.
Here is the assembly of the mrror:

The attachment is for miirors of 850, but they are almost the same as those in S/V40. There is wrote how to remove the glass.
