If this keeps up, my wallet is going to be sucked dry.
I filled up last night in Hillsville, VA off I-77 at $3.45/gal for 89 octane. Sadly, this was about 20-30 cents cheaper than I saw it for in North Carolina.
The summer I first got my car was the summer gas was up to $4/gal for regular, and between work and school I was commuting 80 miles/day. Some predict that it may hit that again, and even soar up to $5.
What are you paying for gas?

About the same for me... around 50-55 for fill-up. 65-70 MPH the whole way instead of 75, pushing 80. It actually saves quite a bit. I always fill up at a station halfway between Flag and SD, and when I get to SD I'll often have 3-4 gallons more than if I was being speed demon.

$1.20 per liter, or $4.54 per US gallon for 87 octane in Ontario. I wish I had your troubles, this one at least.

$3.30 in TN. I use credit and supermarket cards to drive the price down 10 cents per gal. Got premium for $3.45 last night at Shell with my Kroger card.

When I was a lad and bought my first car the 221 cubic inch '71 Ford Falcon and filling it up three times a week used to hurt at 35cents per litre (or $1.32/US gallon) Boy did that car drink!!
Now it costs up to $1.40 per litre or $5.28/US Gallon so we are not in the British leagues, but up there.
