replace headlamps ?

Post by pwrile »

Hello,

I have a 98 V70 and would like to know how to replace the headlight lenses?
Also, I was just charged $38 for a front headlight bulb - is that the normal price?

Thanks.

To replace the headlight lenses is very simple. You simply remove any electrical connections from the rear of the headlight assembly and remove the 3 10 mm bolts holding the headlights in the header panel. You will then find 9 or 10 clips holding the lens to the housing. You simply pry them off with a screw driver. If you haven't bought lenses already, I'd recommend you check out a set of E-code lenses from FCP Groton; much better light control.

$38 is a lot of money for a light bub. You can get Sylvania bulbs for like 7 or 8 bucks each from the big W.
