radio /no audio??? '85 760Turbo

my radio has been out(no power at all) since i had a couple of blown fuses. my fuses were blown when the relay switch for the headlights started shorting out, due to the plastic recepticle being worn and broken.replaced fuses and relay/recepticle, radio still won't come back on.i've triple checked all fuses and wiring.it's an after market radio/cd.,and all the wiring is marked, or obvious what it is(red+, blk.-, etc..)anyone know what i should check.i've seen in places i can't recall, where something was written about 'radio cutoff', or 'shutoff', as if this was caused by something other than the radio itself being bad.help would be appreciated, i don't want to buy a new radio.
