01 V70 Power Seat addition?

I wondering if the 01 V70 is prewired to add a power drivers seat and if so does it require a software update or is everything controlled by the seat.

I'm thinking about replacing the manual drivers seat with a powered one that has memory options so my wife and I can stop fighting about the seat being moved.

If it is prewired (and I'm not sure it is), YES you will need software at best, and who knows how much more with the worst senario

I wouldn't bother, my '01 V70 has power seats, and I tried to replace the drivers seat with another used power seat and it didn't function properly. Dealer couldn't give me an answer as to why.

remove the power seat module from the original seat and put in the replacement seat. It should work fine, with no software download. Don't forget to disconnect the battery before you do this.

The car is not prewired for power seats if it has only manual seats.

If only the driver's seat is a power seat, then the passenger side is also prewired for a power seat.
