What electrical device is attached to the radiator shield?

Post by Jot »

My son's '99 S70 T5 has a built shaped electric device 3/4" in diameter located in the stone shield near the passenger side. As the sheild has snapped the bolt on one side he wants to remove the shield. What is this device and how is it removed or unclipped or where is the wire attached in the engine compartment.

Stone shield = mudflap? If so, front or rear mudflap?

Must have the wrong name. The shield runs acroos the front of the car with the leading edge fastened to the bottom of the bumper. The ends are bolted to the frame.

Oh radiator guard / radiator splash guard.

You've got me on what that electrical device is. I try to remember to look for it tomorrow.
