Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

A little update. I got the oil return pipe oring and gasket installed yesterday. I am now leak free. The old pipe had no gasket on it. Cant believe it wasnt leaking from there. Did a nice hard drive today and everything looks good. What a pain in the ass though. Thanks for all the info.

I guess you are saying no gasket between the two little flanges, is that correct? I am guessing that that is where I am getting a small leak. I wonder if when the dealership did the 'o'ring replacement on my car for the previous owner, did they forget to install the little gasket?
Is the gasket visible after you installed it? I bought a couple of these gaskets but am reluctant to go in there and try to install them in case I disturb the 'o'ring joint and end up with a leak there instead or also, which might be worse than what I presently have...
