I believe so, but someone who knows the AWD models better will have to answer that question for you. There are apparently a lot of differences between an '98 FWD and the newer AWD models.Is the regulator up there? Does the regulator keep the engine from vapor locking.
Yes, the regulator does help to keep that from happening by releasing some of the pressure (e.g. fuel that vaporizes at the hot fuel rail) back into the tank as the car sits. That's why the fuel pump re-primes when you flip on the ignition key.
