Installed precision intercooler w 2.5" pipe, but runs rich

How to go faster, stop quicker, and turn harder. Chips, exhaust, larger turbos, bigger/slotted/drilled rotors, high performance brake pads, manual boost controllers, performance shocks/struts/springs, airbox mods and more! Also discussion on HID and Xenon lights, aftermarket foglights and other exterior lighting.

Installed precision intercooler w 2.5" pipe, but runs rich

Post by JbsRedR »

Just installed precision intercooler with 2.5 in pipe, both pipes come out of the intercooler and flow the same way towards the battery and then up(due to the lack of room on other side as well as no cuts or pinching). I had put in a BOV aside from the factory CBV and was hoping to bypass it and send the air to the aftermarket BOV, which is mounted on the intercooler pipe going to turbo. I tried hooking to vacuum lines from the intake manifold and T off the line to valve but motor starts to idle bad and run rich. At this point I'm just looking for either something that will make this setup work properly and sound badass or take out and rebuild the stock CBV with a HD spring from IPD. I love the front mount so much there is 0 boost lag and the mid range rpm last forever while the boost gauge just rips higher so much quicker. Thanks Everyone

I think I solved the issue seems I need to find somewhere that sells a CBV blanking plate so the aftermarket BOV works properly. Viva performance has these kits but just looking for plate.
