'06 V70-R headlight assy removal?!

Post by SimLyons »

I have talked to lots of people about how to replace the parking and turn signal bulb in my 2006 V70R (Passenger side) and get different answers but none are easy! Really? Changing a bulb means removing the valance/bumper (hapf the front end?). It can't be this bad, can it? Looks like I could remove the ECM, black plastic box and other "stuff" to get to it, but it really can't involve all thet, can it? (Alternative: Very small hand with very long and strong fingertips!)

Thanks for any helpful ideas! Sim

Well, it can, though I should hope it isn't that hard.

Volvo's YCC (Your Concept Car), designed by and for women drivers, required removing the entire nose to change the oil - there was no hinged hood. Every last item of service required going to the dealer and putting it on a lift, save fuel and washer fluid.

As for yours, what I'm reading is the job is a pig no matter how you come at it. General agreement, and my instinct, seems to be removing the ECU box (air filter box on the other side) is easier than removing the bumper.

Turn signals aren't hard on the regular S60, is something different on the R?

Mine's the V70, not the 60.
