Coder Reader Cable

I've been seeing a few code reader cables (big-plug to serial for a laptop) on ebay with FCR 1.3 software out of China. I'd like to be able to access my climate codes and do SRS service on my 2000 S40. Anu luck good or bad out there with these toys? Any red flags other than its far-away location?

Hello, I recently purchased the AUTEL EU702 scanner/fault code reader and it works great. But, for the SRS system, it will only state the problem with the code if needed, but either I haven't figure out how to really use it because I can't reset my air bag warning light on the dash, so I sent out the airbag module to a place in NC and $40 buck later it's reset hard/soft codes. Hope the advise helped.

Received it. The screen says it tests 96-98 S40's, but it worked on my 2000. I had to restart the software a few times to establish the connection to my climate unit, but all-in-all, a worthy $18 investment.
