1-2 depends.
Most likely you will need the upper engine torque mount and transmission torque rod - usually they are the first ones to go bad.
You will need a helper - have somebody shift between N D an R while you keep an eye on the mounts / rods / bushings.

There are 5
They can only really see 1 (upper torque mount)

1: Upper torque mount
2: Lower front engine mount (right side of car)
3: 3 & 4:Two hydraulic (rarely fail) mounts
5: Rear (left side) tranny mount

I am not saying that you should not replace the mounts if they are bad. However, how does a bad mount effect the safety or emissions of these vehicles? I am glad that my state got rid of inspections several years ago.

i think the engine not falling out into the street is a pretty major safety concern..

That would be hilarious to watch actually, but it would never happen. The mounts simply keep the weight of the engine from resting on the subframe and causing vibration. The transmission and subframe hold it into the car.

As said earlier, look first at your lower (front) engine mount, upper torque rod bushing, and transmission mount. The 2 hydraulic supports rarely go bad, at least at this age.
