2000 C70 Antenna

Post by SoDoWarts »

My antenna is stuck in the up position. Nothing happened to it in the up position it just stopped going down. When I turn the car or radio off you can hear the antenna motor running but its not bringing the antenna down. Any ideas?? Thanks.

Broken!

It's either the antenna or the motor.
You need to remove the antenna and see if it's not missing any teeth first

most likely the plastic line gear is broken. You may be able to push the antenna down to confirm that. YOu can but a replacement mast and fix it yourself.

so I came to the conclusion that I had a mast problem and it was pretty easy to replace. so i went to antennamastsrus.com recommended by others and got a mast specific to my conv c70. It gives indepth instructions but when it says pull out the current mast the darn thing won't budge. Its supposed to come out and the white platic cable are supposed to follow. I've given it all I've got except getting on top of the car and pulling it. Any help would be appreciated.

Remove the top nut and the two screws on the bottom bracket. I then went to work bench and remove small nut on the side drum area. You can then see inside. You may need to remove the motor out of the drum to spin the drum inside. Reassemble and reinstall then follow insertion instructions with mast.

Hmmm, if it stops going down suddenly without any warning, maybe there's something missing from your relationship? Perhaps the antenna is unfulfilled, worried or even unwell? There could be someone else.

Clearly, you two need to talk, get any grievances out in the open and relations will improve between you. Don't worry, hiccups like this are only natural and it happens every now and again.

If you find that you have to part ways over this, then so be it. Be strong and eventually you'll meet the antenna of your dreams; who'll do everything you need.

etc etc etc...
