True, and the good news is that it seems Volvo/Ford has finally acknowledged the defective ones in the '99-'01 model years and will replace them for free(?). Odd that. You would think with the battery being seemingly OK, that wouldn't be an issue. You never know!!
Finally goin' with a used Acura myself. Will miss that '850 sound system, however.
