Auto-Locking Indication Lights

Post by phillyfella »

I have a 2004 XC70. Until last night when I would press the "Lock" button on my key fob, I'd get a visual indication of locking... the turn signal lights and side panel lights would flash. This was a nice convenience. It stopped so functioning last night.

Can anyone explain what might have happened and what the fix might be? I checked those lights and they appear to be working normally.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Bad alarm module would be my guess. It's about time for the battery in that module to go bad as they usually last 7-8 years before they trash the module.

Cheers,

I know this has been dormant for a while, but how do you change the battery on the alarm module?
