Interesting suggestion. I got the Yoko yk520 today for $84 each. I can't comment on them just yet, because I'm still getting used to the new struts and shocks I put on yesterday. What a difference! I'd forgotton how well my car rode when I bought it!!
Anyway, I think your recommendation was a good one. I live in NC and encounter snow 4 times a year maybe 5. I'll be interested to see how they impact the gas consumption.

I am getting Goodyear Eagle GT V for 70 a piece and they get a 10 or nine in everything except ice. I drove a S70 99 with them that belonged to a friend and I could slice corners in the rain faster than he could on dry pavement.
