jammed booster seat 2003 Volvo XC 90

My wife jammed the booster seat on our 2003 volvo xc 90. I was able to unlatch it, but does anyone have a diagram or know how to position the metal cord that is responsible for un-latching the booster seat returning the middle seat back to its normal position?

Is the problem with the handle on back of backrest not moving the latch or is the seatbelt stopping it from going up or ???

The booster seat is locked in the normal position, meaning when I pull the latch for the seat to be raised to booster status the middle seat is stuck in the standard or normal position

Did you have any luck getting the booster unjammed as I have what I think is a similar problem. The handle that releases the seat is really loose indicating the cable has come off of the release mechanism. But I can not see how to access the mechanism to release it. Does anyone know how to do this? Thank You
