Traditional seasonal affective disorder is, on this point, the opposite. Those people tend to crave carbohydrates.
Way to subtly call me a fatty
I think he did, but we all know that if anything, you are the complete opposite of a fatty.

My mood seems to be the same all year round - totally mean according to my family.

However, today the moodometer had little bit of an uplift. A phone call asking if I could manage a 6 day trip to the Netherlands. Roll on 7am tomorrow and this 2005 Volvo B12B Plaxton Panther will be heading South:

I should be as much as I eat, but I have a ridiculously high metabolism and energy level. I can't stand to not be doing something - the more physical activity, the better! I've never been very big - going into college, I weighed 135 - now I'm maybe 150, and haven't grown taller since my growth spurt ended in 10th grade.

It's raining and boring here today; graduations are today, and everyone else has left town. I drove up to West VA and back around just because I was bored. The mountains (especially the enormous ones up there!) are beautiful this time of year, especially with all the rain everyone's been getting.

That must have been a nice drive. Today was crappy here to so I just did errands and stuff like that. At least it did not rain which was nice.

At first, I will just hang home and not do much of anything. Then after a little bit, I will get bored and try to find something to do with myself. If it is not snowing or raining or very very cold, I will try and work on my car. At least that is what I used to do when I was alone.

Now that I am back with the one I love, it does not affect me as much. When it does, we tend to sleep late and just hang in the house.

No problem about talking about your car. It is related to the thread so it is fine.

Also, I have to agree. Driving my car when I am depressed definitely lifts my spirits. I do it even in the summer when I am bored.

Same here...something tells me this is the common element between us Volvo nuts  I love long quiet drives in West-West Orlando (like Winter Garden)--closest thing to the country around here...and then storming down the expressways to get home :D

Completely guilty of that one too.

After I broke up with a girlfriend this winter, I drove up to Kentucky and back in the same night just to take my mind off things.

But I love driving to begin with, especially when there's a fun destination in the end! Going home to NC for the weekend down Route 8 here is one of THE most fun drives ever; it's full of hairpin turns down through the mountains that I go squealing around way too fast. I've never driven a car that pulls out of corners like a T5 in first gear

If I'm feeling down, I talk to friends, watch lots of TV, and hang out on the internet a lot. Good friends are the ones that stick with you to help you through tough times :)
