P0422 DTC-Anything else besides rear O2?

Post by brandonbeach14 »

I changed my rear O2 sensor last week with the direct fit Bosch when I the P0422 CEL came up. But when I changed it I had to disconnect the battery cables under the hood to get to the O2 connections. I disconnected the battery so I wouldn't get shocked. I am not sure if the battery being disconnected would have erased the code or not, but when I reconnected the battery there was no CEL. I have driven the car several times and the P0422 just came up again. The Cat seems to be in good condition when I tap on it, has no corrosion on the outside, and the connection under the hood for the O2 sensor seems to be tight. I am looking for any suggestions. What would be the code for the front O2 sensor? Thanks

This code tends to be vacuum leak related. I would start checking for loose hoses and see if you find anything.
