XC70 HU-850 Stereo sound problem ....

I have just bought a second hand 2004 Volvo XC70 LE which has the Hu-850 Premium Dolby Surround Sound System. I have found what I think is the amp is located under the drivers seat. The radio and CD player both work, but I can only get sound from the centre speaker in the dash. I am not able to get any sound out of the other speakers. I have pressed the 2ch, 3ch and Dolby buttons, and fiddled with the fade and balance buttons, but i still only get sound from the same single speaker in the dash. Is there a particular button or switch or setting setting I need to now about to get sound from all the speakers?

1- I would suggest you check for a blown fuse on the AMP circuit.

2- Then make sure the plugs on the AMP unit are well seated (fully inserted).

3- Look also behind the HU-850 unit, the speakers can be unpluged.

The front central speaker is feed directly by the HU-850 not by the AMP unit.
