Help, Advice and DIY Tutorials on Volvo's P80 platform cars -- Volvo's 1990s "bread and butter" cars -- powered by the ubiquitous and durable Volvo inline 5-cylinder engine.
We are expecting our baby boy in July and we think that it's a time to think of a barrier/guard between the cargo space that currently belongs to our Golden Retriever and rear seat that will belong to mini me. Is there any OEM options available for '99 V70? I found this on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-Volv ... 0262119727
and it would also work well in limiting the space for our pupp and providing some space for the baby stuff like stroller but I have no clue how to install it
I recently fitted an early V70 guard (the hydraulic ram type) into my 850 and it is easily the best guard I've had . My two Staffies usually just bend the tubular bars out of their way and the Jack Russell finds a gap , so far the Volvo one has them totally defeated . They are an absolute doddle to fit , a couple of torx screws secure the brackets and the guard slots in , just make sure you get all the fittings . I did manage to source brackets for mine through Volvo , some dealers could get them , others not ?????? and they cost about £14 (sorry don't know in $) so total cost with an e-bay guard was £54 . Hope that's of some help !
